Does an uncompressed BMP give cleaner extraction results?
Often, yes. BMP stores pixels without lossy compression, so there are no compression artifacts to blur text or edges — which can help the AI read fields more cleanly than a heavily compressed copy of the same document. A sharp, well-lit original always extracts best.
How does automatic extraction work on a BMP?
Choose Automatic mode and the tool reads your bitmap, then links each label to its value on its own — no field map and no template to set up. It's the fastest route for a one-off file or an unfamiliar layout.
When should I define my own fields instead?
Switch to Manual mode for layouts you process repeatedly — a standard form, an ID, a recurring report. Name the keys yourself (Full Name, ID No., Test, Amount) and add an optional description to each so every BMP comes back with the same fields in the same order.
Can I extract data from a scanned document or a screenshot saved as BMP?

My BMP file is very large — what should I do?
Each upload can be up to 50 MB. Because BMP is uncompressed, files grow large quickly, so if yours is over the limit, convert it to a compressed format like PNG (the text stays just as readable) or crop to the area that holds the data before uploading.
Do BMP files have pages or frames to choose, like PDF, GIF, or TIFF?
