What image formats are supported?
We support PNG, JPG/JPEG, TIFF, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, and PDF files. Each format is processed to deliver the best possible extraction results.
What export formats are available?
You can download your extracted data in JSON, XML, CSV (horizontal or vertical layout), or Excel (horizontal or vertical .xlsx) — making it easy to integrate with any workflow, spreadsheet, or downstream tool.
What kind of data can be extracted from an image?
The tool extracts key-value pairs from image content — such as form fields, labels, serial numbers, measurements, dates, addresses, product details, and any other structured text visible in the image. It works well for invoices, receipts, ID cards, business cards, forms, product labels, screenshots, tables, and shipping labels.
What's the difference between automatic and manual extraction mode?
Automatic mode uses AI to detect every key-value pair in your image without any setup. Manual mode lets you specify exactly which field names (and optional descriptions) to extract — ideal when you need consistent, repeatable output across many similar images.
How does automatic extraction work on images?
Our AI analyzes the visual content and layout of your image to detect and extract all key-value data pairs automatically. No configuration or field mapping is required.
When should I use manual extraction mode?
Use manual mode when you know exactly which fields you want to extract, or when you need to target specific data points in your image for precise, repeatable results.
Can I upload or download a field template for custom extraction?
Yes. In manual mode you can upload a template (JSON or CSV) containing your predefined field names and optional descriptions. You can also download a template of your current fields — or of any extraction result — to reuse across future uploads.
Can I extract data from invoices, receipts, ID cards, or business cards?
Yes. The image data extractor handles invoices, receipts, ID cards, passports, business cards, forms, product labels, shipping labels, and other structured documents. Use automatic mode for one-off extractions, or manual mode to lock in a consistent schema across batches.
Can I extract data from handwritten or low-quality images?
Printed and clearly typed content yields the best results. Handwritten text may work depending on legibility and clarity. For best accuracy, use high-resolution images with good contrast.
Can I edit the results after extraction?
Yes! All extracted data is displayed in an editable table where you can modify keys, values, add new fields, or remove unwanted entries before downloading.
Does the tool work with multi-page PDFs, TIFFs, or animated GIFs?
Yes, but one page or frame at a time. For multi-page PDFs, multi-frame TIFFs, and animated GIFs, you select which page or frame to extract from, then run the extraction. For batch or all-page processing at scale, please contact us.
Is there a file size limit?
The maximum file size is 50 MB per upload, which covers the vast majority of image files. For larger files, consider optimizing or compressing the image before uploading.
Is my image data secure?
Yes. Your uploaded images are processed securely and are not stored after extraction is complete. We do not retain or share your files.
Does the image data extractor support multiple languages?
Yes. The interface is available in 20 languages, and the extraction engine handles text in many languages and scripts — including Latin, Cyrillic, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and more.
What do I do if the extraction result is incomplete or incorrect?
You can edit the results inline or retry the extraction. Switching between automatic and manual mode, or using a cleaner, higher-resolution image, often improves accuracy.
Can I process images in bulk or automate extraction?
The web tool processes one image at a time. For batch processing, automation (web or local), all-page extraction, captcha-free access, or other scaling needs, please contact us so we can match you with the right plan.
